THE INGRAM COLLECTION
The Ingram Collection of Modern British & Contemporary Art is one of the UK’s most significant art collections and we are pleased to announce a partnership for our 2022 edition.
An exhibition of selected works will be curated by the director, Jo Baring who is launching at the fair Revisiting Modern British Art, a major new book on 20th Century British Art published by Lund Humphries.
A graduate of Brasenose College, Oxford and the Courtauld Institute of Art, Jo Baring is a former Director of Christie’s, who regularly speaks at institutions such as The Royal Academy, The Hepworth Wakefield, Pallant House Gallery, The Sainsbury Centre, The Royal College of Art and Downing College, Cambridge; art fairs such as Frieze & Masterpiece London and commercial galleries including Hauser & Wirth.
In 2016 she launched The Ingram Prize which is now a leading prize for contemporary artists and was highlighted by The Times as Critics Choice for Visual Arts in November 2020. She is a trustee of arts charities the Artists Collecting Society & ArtCan and a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. She also act as an arts mentor and a board member of Women of the Year.
The Ingram Collection exhibition will also feature works by winners of The Ingram Prize. Jo will be signing copies of her book on 29 September and giving a talk and tour at 3pm on Friday 30 September.
