PIVOTAL: Digitalism at British Art Fair
London, UK — 13 November 2024 — PIVOTAL: Digitalism, the first ever digital art section at British Art Fair (September 26 - 29, 2024) at Saatchi Gallery, is now transformed into an expansive digital experience, available on the VLGE platform, starting 19 November 2024. The virtual tour offers a unique opportunity for new collectors to engage with the dynamic world of digital art in an interactive format, accessible from any device, anywhere in the world.
Curated and produced by Rebekah Tolley-Georgiou, along with an advisory board of Lol Sargent RCA, Peter Higgins, Tom Cullen, Jacqui Kenny, Tomas Roope, and Jack Hardiker, the PIVOTAL: Digitalism exhibition was a great success, bringing together cutting-edge artists who are contributing to the future of art through AI, immersive installations and interactive experiences. Now, this digital showcase is accessible to a global audience through VLGE’s state-of-the-art no-code platform, reimagining the entire Saatchi Gallery virtually.
The physical show, held from 26-29 September 2024, introduced "Digitalism" as a new and distinct art movement, celebrating the bold integration of technology and art. The show occupied galleries on the second floor of Saatchi Gallery, with the virtual tour now occupying the entire digital version of the building, preserving the immersive spirit of the original exhibition while expanding its reach far beyond London.
This digital experience allows audiences to explore the innovative works of artists, David Sheldrick, AI Sam, X New Worlds, KEZIAI, Lewis Benfield, Yanis Georges, Jeremy Kidd, Untold Garden, Devy Man, Lucinda Dilworth, Andrew Gow, Steve Zefairiou, Cecilie Waagner Falkenstrøm, Jack Kaido, Cem Hasimi, Sam Nutt, Cansu Sezer, Laurence Fuller, Bstract, Santiago Pani, Zeitguised, James Cochran, and Universal Everything.
Created using VLGE’s platform, the virtual tour enhances accessibility and engagement, continuing VLGE’s mission to democratize world-class art experiences. About PIVOTAL: Digitalism
PIVOTAL: Digitalism is more than an exhibition—it marks a defining moment in art history. By showcasing pioneering digital artists, it establishes Digitalism as a significant movement. Tipping its hat to the YBAs (‘Young British Artists’) who shook the art world with Charles Saatchi’s 1997 Sensation show at the Royal Academy, the debut of the ‘DBAs’(‘Digital British Artists’) and PIVOTAL: Digitalism at British Art Fair is a powerful statement of the evolution of contemporary art, celebrating the emergence of "The Digitalists” - a new generation defining artistic boundaries through technology, and cementing their place within today’s cultural landscape.

About Saatchi Gallery
Since 1985, Saatchi Gallery has provided an innovative platform for contemporary art. Exhibitions have presented works by largely unseen young artists, or by international artists whose work has been rarely or never exhibited in the UK. This approach has made the Gallery one of the most recognised names in contemporary art. Since moving to its current 70,000 square feet space in the Duke of York’s Headquarters in Chelsea, London, the Gallery has welcomed over 10 million visitors. The Gallery hosts thousands of school visits annually and has over 6 million followers on social media. In 2019, Charles Saatchi formally stepped back from his management of Saatchi Gallery with the organisation beginning a new chapter in its history as a fully independent registered charity.
